1. Gearbox

The gearbox is the heart of the dough divider machine. It drives the machine’s mechanical movements by transferring power from the motor to the other components. The gearbox ensures smooth and consistent operation, enabling the machine to divide dough efficiently. 

2. Frame

The frame is the structural support of the dough divider, holding all the components in place and ensuring the machine operates safely and effectively.

3. Dough Conveyor

The dough conveyor is the component responsible for transporting the dough through the machine. Once the dough is loaded into the hopper, the conveyor moves it through the system to be divided and processed. The conveyor typically consists of rollers or augers that gently guide the dough without damaging its texture.

4. Forming Mechanism

The forming mechanism is the final step in the dough division process. After the dough has been transported by the conveyor, it enters the forming section, where it is divided into uniform portions. 

How Does It Work?

After the motor starts, the prepared dough is evenly fed into the hopper. Under the action of the twin augers, the dough is squeezed and transported to the discharge outlet.

Through the outlet adjustment, the dough is evenly extruded and pushed up by the lifting wheel. The cutter then rotates downward, cutting the dough into evenly sized cylindrical dough pieces, which then fall sequentially into the feeding inlet.

In the arc groove of the forming tray, the dough is kneaded and rolled into smooth, cylindrical, ball-shaped dough pieces for steamed buns. The size of the dough pieces is adjusted by changing the distance between the lifting wheel and the front cover using the movable frame.

This type is perfect for products requiring larger or variable portion sizes, such as bread loaves or pizza dough. While it doesn’t shape the dough, its ability to handle a wider range of portion sizes makes it versatile for different baking operations.

Both types of dough dividers improve efficiency and consistency in dough portioning. Choosing between them depends on the specific needs of the bakery, such as portion size and whether rounded dough pieces are required.
